Help Is Sn even possible? Uk

I have been looking and I have heard stories from others. Is it even possible to get SN in the UK anymore? I thought I had ordered some but it turns out its Nitrate, I was really relying on this but I can't find anywhere else that sells it. Does anyone know anywhere that has reliably sold it and have it successfully arrive in the UK? I'd be greatly appreciative if someone could dm a source, or any hints on how to find this stuff. It seems harder to get than hard drugs

I can only find 0,6% concentration ffs. I guess it has to be pure?

My current suggestion if you're averse to chemistry (and most people are) is to... still do a little chemistry.

1. Buy alcohol (190 proof/95%) regular, denatured, whatever
2. Buy Prague Powder #1 (6.25% sodium nitrite, 93.75% sodium chloride) Sodium nitrite dissolves in alcohol; sodium chloride does not.
3. Mix alcohol and salt. (edit: if my math is correct, you need about a liter of alcohol for every pound of Prague Powder 1)
4. Filter the alcohol through a coffee filter and keep it; throw away the salt.
5. Evaporate the alcohol. (Don't use heat. I'd use a fan or something.)
6. Collect the crystals that form! More liquid left = more pure, but less/no liquid left = more yield, take your pick.

You now have reasonably pure sodium nitrite. (90-95% I'd say)

edit: I just realized in the UK they apparently call it "Preservative (E250)".

Wouldn't you need to heat the result with a carbon catalyst such as charcoal or calcium sulphate? I would probably then put it through a titration filter to ensure it was even purer, but you'd need something to stop the decay and having it convert back to Nitrate

Yes. It is possible to get in the UK still. For me, I found the answer to finding sources to be community engagement. People aren't going to risk their own ass & a source to send to a stranger. Someone they've connected with and build rapport with? Possibly.

If you're trying to do a reduction-oxidation to convert nitrate + carbon into nitrite + carbon oxides, then yeah high heat is used. My method is simply extracting nitrite from the salt since it dissolves in alcohol.

You're also correct that exposure to oxygen (e.g. air drying) causes decomposition; I think the drying/crystallization happens much faster than any decomp. I honestly don't have any data to back that up though. Vacuum drying is an idea but that's getting pretty complicated.

The nitrate to nitrite reduction method with carbon suffers from the same issue of needing dissolved and recrystallized, so...yeah lol.

I would love to experiment with this purity issue myself soon though. I'll share my findings if I have any!

I engage but still no one helps me with a source. I understand why but it still makes me feel even more lonely and rejected. But I don't care now. I've got, night-night, dephenhydramine, a rope and a few trees in the garden, and a lake down the lane with lots of stones to weigh me down. I just wish i had the courage but I'm working on that too, in every way I can. I'm off now for a bit. Too sad. I fucking hate me and my life. I've got a kg of nitrate to play with so I'll run some experiments and see what I can work out, I'll need to find a good way to test the purity other than strips and blood though as we're checking potency

It is not easy anymore to get N in Peru!!! You must have a source or u can only hope that u will be able to bribe.

This is ridiculous. I'm also from UK and want SN. So they'll make society so crap that we want to die and then remove our choice to do so? Utter psychopaths
