My best friend in the whole wide world passed a few years ago. My kitty, Pride. Would it be strange if in my dying wishes I asked that he be put away with me?

I don't think so. At one point my husband and I were thinking of mixing our ashes together, but when he died I ended up not getting any of his ashes.
I think if you and your kitty were close, it's a beautiful way to stay together throughout eternity. I think people can be just as close to animals, or in some cases closer, then they can to other people. I've had a few pets in my life that I was very close to and I was very heartbroken when they all passed away.

We were very close. I felt a connection to him on a non physical level. He knew me better than anyone. We always came as a pair. We were always introduced together. He slept in bed with me every night. He knew my moods and I knew his. Thank you for your comment... Very sorry for your loss.

I think that´s a good idea. if I find a suicide partner it would be nice to put the ashes (most of suicidal people would like to be cremated I think) into my coffin. I know that´s really weird (I want to be buried in the traditional way, not being cremated). Or if the partner would like to be buried I would like to be buried in the same grave.

I can understand this entirely... It is a nice thought.

It's a moot question if it is weird, in the end whatever floats your boat.

Personally, though, I can bond with an animal but for me that bond can and should never be a substitute for mate or child bond.

My last boyfriend's childhood cat died shortly before he committed suicide and I ensured that their ashes were put together as per his request. It's not as uncommon as you may think <3
