I found my Carotid artery but when i compress it i start to shake. That is when I am nearly passing out. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, it's normal. It's your survival instinct kicking in as your body fights for air.

That's interesting because I feel like I'm breathing fine and don't feel panicky the way i would if i closed my windpipe.

You might not feel panicky, but your body is struggling for air, doesn't matter how calm you are.

If it feels like your breathing fine, are you putting full compression on rope, or just lightly?

I have not tested with a rope but tested this with my hands, so there were some limitations because i relaxed when I was passing out. I am hoping the rope will do its job at partial.

Yeah, your hands definitely won't do the trick. But convulsing when doing the full is normal as your body struggles with the SI.

That's because you're doing it correctly. Cartoid compression isn't about cutting off breathing, but blood supply to the brain.

For those of you struggling to find your CA it is about an inch below your jaw near your neck muscles. You know you will find it when you feel the pulsing sensation.
