Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I have been interacting a lot of pro-life people lately and it is hard to sane among them in real life. News, neighbors, even my dentist, what's going on!? (Is it just me or the world getting more pro-life?)

Honestly with suicide prevention being on the rise I agree with you. It's becoming more life and even contradictory to the pro-life vs pro-choice argument for abortion. People are being more pro-choice with abortion while becoming more pro-life with suicide. Look at the irony here

Yes, it truly is, it's so horrible how many humans wish to make this into a hellish prison world where one is unable to reliably die on their own terms. It disgusts me how we are denied a right to die in peace, pro-life people should just learn to mind their own business as just because they want to stay here shouldn't mean that everyone else has to continue suffering.

Yes, it is. This is all happening because of influence from others. People aimlessly agree with this pro-life ideology without examining this whole situation regarding suicide and such and come to the conclusion that life= good and death= bad.

The strange thing is that even though they regard death as bad, death is inevitable. Everyone's going to end up dying, whether they like it or not, so why do they make it so hard for people who want to die to die?

That's the reason I live like Diogenes of Sinope as much as I can. I live on beans and white rice because my country is going downhill on economically and ethically.
The strange thing is that even though they regard death as bad, death is inevitable though. Everyone's going to end up dying whether they like it or not, so why do they make it so hard for people who want to die to die?
They are afraid of death and because of this they ignore the fact that they will soon be dead due to natural causes or any causes unrelated to suicide and it has even come as far as ignoring any thoughts or discussions surrounding the topic of death.
I have been told very often that I'll die soon, anyways, so why cut my life short? They are indeed aware of the inevitability of death and they have come to an acceptance with it, at some point in their lives and now choose to ignore it out of fear.
My theory as to why people are like this is because this thought stems from survival instinct or if not that, then self-preservation instinct. An example from myself, when I heard the news of a meteor predicted to hit earth in 2093, I felt fear, even while knowing I won't be alive at that time. I guess this is the same as thinking about death.
And, to answer your question asking why they make it so hard for those who yearn to die, to die, it is because the concept of suicide is a subset of the concept of death but what makes it stigmatized is that inducing your own death is thought to be just, bad. I don't personally understand it but I guess they have their… invalid.. reasons. Of course another reason why they complicate everything concerning self deliverance is out of fear of suffering themselves so they save themselves at the cost of someone else suffering at a much higher intensity than they ever will.
It's an evolutionary leftover, the notion that life has to be preserved and death avoided.
It's entirely natural for people to try and prevent suicide, especially considering that most people think that the suicidal can be saved; it's never easy letting a person die, even if they're a complete stranger, for the average person. I think a lot of the animosity here towards pro-lifers are as shortsighted as the pro-lifers' unmovable notion that life has to be saved.
Oh yes, plus the bit about abortion makes sense to me; much of the debate regarding pro-choice or pro-life with abortion is when the fetus gains consciousness, because nobody wants to be killing babies. Nobody wants to be responsible for permitting suicide, since to many people it's tantamount to murder.

Profit?
It would be better to know why I am being held like an hostage in life?
I want to say, 'it is because corporate greed' but it seems stupidity is more accurate than just greed.
You are right. That's the reason I am going out even if it means by spending every dollar that I have to supply Nitrogen Gas, Switzerland, whatever. I decided to kill myself before 26th birthday.
It's better than watching porn until I find myself in medical torture hell just like my grandfather. The doctors ripped off my grandfather last days off like a brutal demon.
Now I can't even close my eyes, because of the possibility that I would get the same fate.
Sometimes I think seagulls are more clever than any typical 'human'. Because the first is simply surviving and reproducing. The second one is just can't even do that properly.
Well it certainly does feel that way because pro lifers keep making new efforts to persecute suicidal people, but I guess suicide prevention has been around for a very long time. I think it's like the increasing pitch illusion where it keeps sounding like it's getting louder because despite all the pro lifers efforts suicide is still rising. But sadly, pro lifers have more power than ever to restrict peaceful suicide methods so it's possible it will get a lot worse than it is now.
I was in an argument with some redditor the other day. I swear to God he claimed humans will soon be able to live up to 250 years, "maybe more" thanks to science, and was weirdly enthusiastic about it... and was backed up by many other lunatics.
250 years ? Fuck you ! How the hell can you even contemplate living that long with a smile on your face and not see where's the problem ?
People are nuts. I can't wait to leave this crazy ass world.
