Discussion is it cruel to give someone a gift that might tip them off?

specifically, i have a concert ticket id want to transfer to someone, but they would definitely know something was wrong if i did it too early before i ctb. but even if i do both successfully, would it be a cruel thing to leave someone and forever taint the music that they love by associating it with my death? it would have to be pretty soon too, so there wouldnt be much time to process and grieve and everything. would you appreciate the gift or would it just cause more pain?

what if you just left the ticket with a magnet on your fridge or something. Your close people will get through your stuff if you leave.

I feel like it would have a bittersweet feeling to it if you somehow could send it to them after you leave instead

You can define this as inheritance and passing on your assets / belongings / money. People do it all the time, it's not cruel

I don't think that it would be cruel to give a gift, it's a nice thing to do, but I wouldn't do it if it made other people suspicious and there was a possibility of them interfering in plans to die.

Why give someone else a parting gift when you could give yourself a parting gift?

That's what I've done but I'm not gonna reveal what it is just yet.

Personally, I think it would be a kind thing to do. It shows you were thinking of them. Yes- it could hurt but it's going to hurt anyway realistically. If they then decide they are too upset to go- or- don't want the association- they can choose not to go. Hopefully they'll see it partly as a celebration of your life and shared interest.
