the people that could answer in the affirmative would all be dead now...

for the people who have survived, recounts sound quite painful. even if they did end up dying later.

so unfortunately it's impossible to know how much pain someone experienced upon impact, but I'd assume if they landed head first it probably is painless? I have no idea though.

also, have you given up on full suspension hanging for some reason? this has become my method of choice now I'm in a psych ward with my SN taken. why did you give up on it?

I don't want you to suffer either... I hope you find your peace, and maybe someone more informed will be able to answer your question.

I think that right after hitting the floor you may not feel anything. It's like when someone has an accident (car/bike any other) the body is in a shock state making you not feel anything. So probably hitting the floor isn't as painful as we might think, but should you survive severely injured that will cause a lot of pain later.

Edit: Imo there is a lot more SI to defeat when jumping is the method. Hanging is easier I would assume.

broad question, it depends on many variables.. to me i find it quite painful and terrifying. I could never have the courage to do it

I'll say it again, as i said on many posts about jumping: i wouldn't even consider this method unless it's from very very very high (220m or higher) and that i land on rock solid ground. Even the roof of car can save your ass from 15 floors (it happened to a russian guy a few months ago).

I'd have to be 1000% sure i don't have a single tiny chance of survival.

This is no joke, 99.9% of the people who fail with this method are either in a vegetable state right now and will be forever, or suffer real bad for years because of the injuries.

Chances are if you do it from a hotel window you're asking for endless pain, not death.

Like all the other methods, it depends. However, from some videos I have seen (ew, I know) almost everyone seems to be dead on impact. I have only seen two people out of maybe 15-20 videos who survived. One of them landed on a pole which I assume broke his fall in some way though he was impaled. The other jumped from quite a low distance bottom first so it wasn't enough speed and the position made it so her lower body "cushioned" the fall. I think the biggest thing with jumping is SI.

I think when the fall is long enough the body has a potential to have started pumping out adrenaline and then there is shock at first hopefully.
The issue is what happens when it is not fatal and the shock and adrenaline are gone.
If it is really bad you might get lucky and not remember it after. I read of someone not remembering a thing despite everyone saying they were struggeling and screaming from pain.

no. the only death that is painless is dying in your sleep due to heart failure or something.
