• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

In my eyes christianity is a very childish religion, seems like children created another Papa in heaven. But wait I am insulting children here and they are the only hope. GRETA FOR PRESIDENT :)
I am into spirituality but everybody has his own dreams about what actually spirituality means.
I like Eckhart Tolle and the Buddha of course, but also my absolute favorite book is Tao Te Ching from Lao Tzu. Tiny book with very few words, written like a poem. 3000 Years old? not sure. Translation from a US guy is easy to read and very accessible.

I think the modern evangelistic prosperity churches which, unfortunately, is widespread, is the image that comes to most people when they hear Christianity. If you could ignore that and focus on the bible, you will find something incredible. I used to be Commie Hippie before my whole belief system collapsed like a tower. When I started watching Dr. Jordan Peterson, I began to reassess my view on Christianity as whole. I recommend watching his Bible Lecture Series. Its up to three hours long per video but you won't mind it when you get absorbed by it.

I don't have a religion and I don't judge others for having a religion. People believe in what they believe, it provides them with security and comfort. Who am I to get in the middle of that? The only thing I don't condone is people using religion as an excuse to hurt, judge, and invalidate others. Religion shouldn't divide people, it was made to bring people together, but in many ways it has done quite the opposite. And religion should never be forced upon others.

Not at all. Christianity has been twisted by childish and immature mankind to suit its goals. Truly following Christ is imo the way to go altho I think other religions have merit as well.

The freedom that allows the members of this forum to be pro-choice also allows people to choose whatever belief system they want to believe in. Because history is rife with religious prosecution, religion is a well protected human right now in today's democratic world. It would be best if we refrain from laughing at or criticizing people's faith, else we lose the right to object when people look down upon us when we have mental illness and/or we want to CTB.

More so because Christianity is the largest religion of the West and many members in here are from the Western world and may be Christian/religious. :-)

For the past year or so I've talked to a bunch of Christian people and no it's not childish. I'm not Christian myself but I can see why someone would take that path. It's mostly about accepting and loving one another for who they are, not so much about Jesus himself... living with that mentality is fine by me.

I'm an atheist but I wish I could believe in a religion. It gives people comfort and meaning in their lives.

However I've always been one of those hyper-rational people, I can't help but see things for the way they are. Don't mean to sound arrogant or like a snobby intellectual but I think you all get what I mean when I describe myself. I've never been one of those people who can just believe in things that make me feel comfortable, I'm wired to obsess about what is actually objectively true.

i used to look down on religion and people believing in things I deem as irrational, however my experience with deep depression has radically changed my perspective on life and I realize that irrationality and emotions play an enormous role in human life. In fact being a hyper rational person I'd argue is probably unhealthy If you want to live a happy and meaningful life. Not to mention you drive people away from you if you're a person like me.

honestly I envy people who are able to convince themselves to believe things that make them more comfortable even if there's little logic behind it, its an ability I lack but wish I had. I'd probably be a lot happier if I could do that.

To be POTUS Greta gotta be US born, at least 35 years of age, and a US resident for at least 14 years
it was a joke ;)
Well I have to say I am far away from all these replies.
How could I change the prefix to not sound insulting? I find christianity and the other book religions really very immature or maybe I better say not evolved?

All religion are. And are the bane of today humanity. As it allways have been since long before.
All of them are irritational and incoherent to boot.
Never saw a more potent drug than religion and blind faith .
