Sorry, I'm not very tech savvy, not even quite sure how a VPN works; but I want to make sure that if I call 988 they can't send the police to me. It's my understanding it has something to do with E911 usage and GPS-pinging and/or triangulating via cell phone towers. My computer only knows I'm in my state, (no location turned on) and yet, they knew the exact (small city) I'm in despite this when I was on the lifeline chat. I gave them a random area code in the pre-chat questions. If VPN doesn't help, do you have a suggestion which works? Thanks for the help.
