It's always best to take advantage of every precaution you can to give yourself the best chance at CTBing. Trying to rush it will only increase your chances of failing.

I think you really wanna be accurate, the margin for error shouldn't really be more than +/- a gram. With a tea spoon it's more than that - personally I have teaspoons in the cupboard that don't even look the same size. So there's no way to get accuracy around this. Good for adding ingredients to a cake, not so good for measuring a lethal substance, the quantity of which effects lethality and vomiting.
