In two separate stories.from a news report,

A doctor ctb in England, following self.diagnoses of.cancer he believed he had;. At the postmortum, no cancer was found!.

In a separate case, a patient living with utter pain shot himself believing he had cancer. Doctors assured him he did not have cancer. At mostmortum, cancer was definitely identified.

A very unfortunate twist in the medical world.

That's some lethal guess-work from all parts involved.

What's the moral of the story - to not trust anyone - not even oneself?

They should have traded doctors!
At least he got the pain to stop. Proper treatment might have helped.
Second opinions are good for many problems.

Rest in peace. It sounds so horrible dying from cancer so it is understandable why those people chose to ctb. It is such a cruel life which drives people to the point of wanting ctb. Just the fact that so many diseases exist is enough to make me want to leave.

God that's sad. My grandfather had cancer-they could not figure out what was wrong with him. They did do tests but he had stomach pain and it ended up to be lung cancer so when they were scanning his stomach they didn't find anything. Turns out the cancer had spread to the adrenal glands (I think) which was causing the stomach pain. He was losing so much weight and we were all like "he looks just like someone with cancer" but Drs said no. Not until he lost his voice did they find out-months of pain later which never got treated other than OTC meds :'( One nurse even told him to stop complaining (he was the loveliest man who never complained) she did apologise later on when we found out he had cancer but that's always stuck with me. Life is utterly tragic and cruel sometimes. I want to go on my own terms I don't wanna suffer for months and think "I wonder how bad this is gonna get".

yes it is like so many diseases. My Mother died of lymphoma, died in her own filth. My Father attempted suicide because of dementia but failed. Only my grandfather succeeded by gassing himself. My grandma was hit and killed by a bus but it was the cleanest exit. Humans delude themselves into thinking that life is a bed of roses but really life is a struggle and strories like mine are repeat ed everywhere. I will soon be added to that list of awfulness when this disease finally kills me. I hope people don't see me as tragic diseased man . I hope people ACCEPT tha t this is the reality of life

To add to this sad.story of misdiagnosis, the patient who correctly diagnosed his cancer, was recorded as ctb officially. He is remembered for this even.though his disease was probably killing him.
