Insulin overdose?

I'm not a diabetic, but my dad is. He has novolog insulin aspart u-100 in the fridge, but it doesn't seem like an insane amount- Just 1 small box of it.

Is insulin overdose possible and/or reliable? There isn't much information on it. I'd like to know how much is required for certain bodyweights and how certain it is to kill you within a certain period of time, as well as the possibility of brain damage and visible symptoms.

I've heard insulin overdose is possible. Though I don't how much you'd need. I don't think I'd do it though. You don't wanna run the risk of living from an attempt then end up with diabetes or something yourself. I don't know much about diabetes, but it doesn't sound like a disease you'd wanna have. Insulin is expensive. You shouldn't take your fathers insulin. His grief over your death is enough of a burden. There are plenty of other methods.

Certainly not, but I don't know if I'd be too disappointed to have a chronic illness that essentially provides me with potentially lethal prescribed medication and a way to die by ingesting a big meal of regular food items. Regardless, I'm still scared of brain damage or some spooky convulsion episode, so I'll just wait for more info.

Low blood sugar can cause fits and brain damage. If you don't die you are risking permanent brain damage.

Not to the point where I'd shift my options, no. I was raised estranged from him and put second to his side of 'the family' my whole life, and he expects good use of me after all of it. I don't know if I'm necessarily willing to provide, or even abstain from becoming a temporary liability.

I do not think it is very dangerous. If you do not succeed your dad will probably start locking up his insulin. They are not publishing the amount of insulin needed to die on the internet...

Okay, fair enough. However, there are more reliable methods. Imagine if you survive and he decides to punish you for taking his insulin.

These days, I'm much more physically capable than him. It's one of the few things I'm thankful for in my life.

1) You don't get diabetes from using insulin. No offense, but c'mon. That's second grade shit.
2) It's surprisingly hard to ctb with insulin. Possible but not reliable. It's also really hard to do, physically speaking.
3) Failing is nasty: insane hunger, the shakes, seizures, maybe a coma, then some brain damage before you wake up.
4) There's no way to know how much it would take until you try. But you're right, it's probably a lot more than your dad keeps in the fridge.
5) He needs his insulin more than you do.

You'd have to have some experience with insulin to have much hope of pulling this off, and even then you'd probably fail. Trust me, if suicide by insulin were that easy, there'd be a lot fewer diabetics in the world. Me included.

I'm a T1 diabetic, and while I could easily OD on my fast acting insulin. (Apidra) I first tried to ctb by NOT taking any and eating many sweets for days until I became deathly ill.

I'm Canadian, so my medications are covered. Your father needs that stuff to live. To live. So please don't take his life juices away for your own personal reasons.

If it were cheaper, MAYBE. But it's still not right to do and would be a hell of a slap in the face for him before you did it. He'd probably feel incredibly responsible....

I hope you find a better method.. x

I had a friend triy this, she just lied on her apartment floor for 3 days until someone came to check in on her and found her blue on the face but alive
Also I heard the hypoglycemic shock can make you do stupid things before you pass out like for example taking off your clothes
But it can work
