• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Instead of the CO method, why not use a mix propane/butane in a tent ? If you let the bottle opened, will the mix propane/butane soon invade the space of the tent and drive you to unconsciousness and death by asfixia or cardiac effect ? Peaceful and painless ? And no risk of explosion if you do that outside, in a tent without any flame at all. So, why is this method never discussed as one of the first choices (moreover, it's easy and not expensive to have a bottle of mix propane/butane) ?? Is there something wrong with this idea ?

Im really not sure why people don't talk about this, it seems you need a fairly small amount of it to work (around 2 gas canisters). Id be curious to know why this cant work or if can more info on it

Propane and butane and any flammable gas is mixed with mercaptans to smell like rotten eggs. Have you ever smelled the residue when filling up a lighter/propane tank or ever had a natural gas leak?

Me personally, I woudnt want to be smelling that as I died

What's important is to do that in an isolated place, no risk for other people, and without any flame or electricity (to avoid explosion). A tent could be an option, with a mention written on the tent "gas, danger !" to avoid problems to the people that will discover the suicided person. About the method itself, I would like to have more informations too. You say 2 bottles, but 2 bottles could mean different things and not always the same quantity (volume). Is it peaceful and painless ? Headache and nauseas or not ? Is it fast to be unconscious ? Etc.

By 2 bottles I meant around 15 oz of the fuel but Im really not very confident in that figure so take it with a grain (or handful) of salt. Looks like you still get nausea and headaches. I believe unconsciousness however does seem to be quick taking just minutes.

I never thought about the smell of it, I agree that alone makes it not very worth it

Propane and Butane are not lethal unlike CO. It's unlikely to displace all oxygen inside the tent - you would have to use an exit bag/SCBA Mask. But then why take the risk of an explosion if you could do it with inert gas or CO?

If the LPG concentrations are very high (multiple open cylinders in a confined space). loss of consciousness is practically immediate and death follows within a few minutes. There are people who use this method every day in Europe.

Perhaps because the damage to the body and brain is negligible compared to carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is toxic and can cause harm even in low doses. LPG can only cause damage at very high concentrations and only through asphyxiation. So when LPG reaches the capacity to cause damage you are practically dead. Monoxide can leave you as alive as a vegetable with little inhalation. This is why LPG is preferable. Not preferable to your next door neighbor, definitely.

Not everybody is agree with that. And indeed it's a method often used by inmates to CTB in their cell, especially in Italy. They snif and snif the mix propane/butane until they fall unconscious and die. You can find papers about that. Anyway, I would like to have more details.
