They catch me and won't let me leave, The feeling that non-existence might be preferable to a life filled with misery is a powerful one. Many who feel this way see non-existence as a kind of relief from the challenges and suffering that seem inescapable. If life feels like a series of hardships with little respite or joy, it's natural to wonder if existence itself might be an unnecessary burden.

The idea of a reality where nothing exists at all would eliminate suffering entirely, and for those who view suffering as a constant or inevitable part of life, this can seem like an ideal solution. While some find meaning or fulfillment in life, others question whether those moments of joy or purpose are worth the suffering that comes along with them. It's an ongoing debate, and many who share this perspective focus on the desire to minimize harm and suffering, perhaps even envisioning a future where existence is only for those who actively choose it.

If nothing existed, there would be no need to struggle, hope, or endure—and for many, that idea feels like genuine peace.
