Haunted by the ghosts of the past

I'm almost ready. I have the process pretty much sussed. I'm beginning to make all the necessary arrangements for after.

There is just one last barrier my control freak brain has to get around and that is understanding what the physical/medical process of dying via partial is going to be from the second I put the noose around my neck and begin to hang.

Any information will be greatly appreciated as it is the final piece of the puzzle for me. I've read a number of posts and phrases like "hypoxia" and "agonal posturing" keep popping up and I've no idea what those are and whether they are relevant to the medical/physical process I'm soon to experience.

A rough timeline would be most helpful. My brain is wired in such as way that knowledge is control. If I think I'm in control, the end will be much smoother.

Thanks.

Just to clarify, I know what the terms "hypoxia" and "agonal posturing" are in general terms, I just don't know if those are things that I'll feel, and if I do what sensations to expect.

The other big questions focus more on once I'm unconscious; how long before I stop breathing, how long until my organs stop functioning and how long until my brain dies etc.

Best way is to find highest quality research you can. I haven't spent a lot of time on it but here are some links to start from:
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/1179555717692545
http://www.academia.edu/10276425/Ag...ntoxication_on_the_Timing_of_Agonal_Responses
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3190516/

There are also a plethora of anecdotes to read about. Haven't read about anyone feeling anything beyond losing control of their muscles (I have as well), which is scary but not painful.

Thanks very much. Will give them a read. What was your experience? You said it was scary not painful. What did it feel like if not painful?

I remember looking down at my feet (I was standing but leaning like in that "Siphon Effect" video) and my body went cold, then my body started jerking (more like nudging I'd say, they weren't violent movements) and my adrenaline shot way up.

I had a chair under me as I was just practicing, so was able to simply let myself fall onto the chair.

I recommend practicing this way, I even made a shitty drawing for others' benefit: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...al-suspension-hanging.2674/page-2#post-235162

Thanks @essbet. Will give it a try, though I think I've got the system worked out to ctb as swiftly as possible. I made a genuine attempt recently but I stopped because my I kept focusing on what processes my body was going through as I began to hang; a bunch of questions started to whirl through my head; how long will it take me to die? what are the timings? what dies first? will I feel these parts die? will I feel myself die? will I feel anything even if unconscious? etc.

I've never been afraid to die -- what's the point? -- but I've always had a fear of the pain of dying. Of not knowing exactly what is happening to me.

I know there's (most likely) no solid answers to these questions but I think that if I can have some kind of information in my head at the time I next hang, I can keep the brain pre-occupied processing that stuff while -- not to put too fine a point on it -- my body dies.

Just made another attempt. Definitely hit the sweet spot. Was fading fast then the thoughts (outlined above) kicked in which triggered SI. It's so frustrating.

Will need to do more research. I need to feed my brain some facts about what I'm doing and what's happening. I need to keep my brain occupied while I die. I need to believe I'm in control. I want to go sooner rather than later.
