No I haven't, but I've pondered it before. I don't think it is a good idea if you aren't alone and live with others. There is just too high of a chance of being stopped, discovered, before full hypothermia sets in, let alone the body fully shutting down. Another thing about failed attempts via hypothermia is the extensive damage to the body.

Yes I tried it. It was my primary method, the secondary one was getting pneumonia and dying from high fever (yeah, dumb, I know).

I've spent 2 hours lying in cold water, everyday (I didn't measure it, but I guess it's 5-10 Celsius?, the tap water temp). I was fully submerged in the bath (below the neck). I've read somewhere that you lose most warm through legs (don't know how much truth is that).

After the cold baths, I've spent an hour sitting outdoors (0 Celsius temp). I've never felt sleepy, tired or anything else, I was just shaking.

Didn't even get sick for weeks I've tried this method, I just coughed for a couple hours and then everything's back to normal.

It probably depends on your physical health state, but indoor hypothermia is dumb. You need a lonely forest or a river with at least minus 5 Celcius temp, if you wanna go for hypothermia.

I wasted a lot of time with this. I wouldn't recommend it. But the cold baths were fun :) idk why, but the stress from being cold even made me laugh for no reason, lol...

Absolutely impossible indoors.
Outdoors, if you live in a cold enough area (at least -5ish) and can reach a body of water you could go in, keep your wet clothes on once you get out and wait for hypothermia to set in. If you're dehydrated and haven't eaten anything for a while you should die in a few hours.
However, I have no idea at which point you go unconscious and the whole process is likely very unpleasant, also there's a high chance of losing some of your fingers and toes to frostbite if you get rescued, so bear that in mind.

The Nazis were into that big time. Google/Wiki "Nazi hypothermia experiments".

"Beginning in August 1942, at the Dachau camp, prisoners were forced to sit in tanks of freezing water for up to 3 hours. After subjects were frozen, they then underwent different methods for rewarming. Many subjects died in this process."

3 hours? No thanks!

And they were malnourished and in poor health mostly, it would more than likely take considerably longer for us as we arbt as our health is no way compromised like theirs were. How the hell did the world let that go on for so long, humans are so blinded to things they dont want to see.
