Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I have noticed a thing, when you actively think about CTB you are unlikely to do so. But if you do it in an impulsive momment, you are most likely to leave this realm. I tried actively planning and then executing using the night night method, but sadly enough, I couldn't. I found the carotid artery and pressed it hard enough to black out. In fact I was blacking out. But then I removed my hand. After that I tried n number of times but never could I find the carotid artery again. Now I am stuck somewhere in between; like it won't matter if I CTB but I can continue living. Am I dilly dallying the thing?

I can't speak to your method directly, but from what I do understand, in general, is that attempting CTB impulsively more often results in failure. I don't know how to relate it to your method, but you're more likely to make mistakes acting "on a whim". Of course everyone is different and YMMV.

the plan of CTBing is important, impulsive action can be a mistake, or the ctb will fail

Certain impulsive method are hard to miss... Painful as hell though... Full suspension hanging. I never get impulse... My mind is always planning even in direst situation and always thinking of nagetive... What could go wrong.

Both ways are valid. For me it is a mixture of planing and impetuosity.
Meaning everythig will be thought trough and ready and I ll wait for a crisis to impulsively execute the plan.

I think it has to be both. Pure impulse will likely be a cry for help like cutting wrists or eating 50 paracetamol. Unlikely to be fatal.

Purely planned though and unlikely to ever carry it out due to regret and SI.

What I think we need is impulsive use of a planned method, that's how we really CTB.

I agree.

You HAVE to have the plan ready and the decision made, but then it has to be an impulse. Or not necessarily an impulse but you definitely have to be in this kind of mood when you feel fully ready, when you feel like you can and you actually want to hurt yourself physically. I can't imagine planning it days/weeks/months ahead and going through the plan.

I plan for the impulsive.

I have a kit that contains everything I need to hang myself, so I am ready when I hear the call and I become impulsive.

What happens when there are delays is that SI starts to take over. Makes you think about people and things that will stop you.

yeah your words definitely ring true for me, when I'm not trying to think about CTB it's more likely to be ready for ctb. Of course I haven't worked out the rationality of my suicide yet, what if all my problems can be solved? The moment I work that out Ill be able to go through more with the plan.
