I may have the opportunity to try one very soon. Has anyone else here had one?

I'm going out today I'll try to remember.
I kinda prefer a veg burger though. I don't need stuff to taste like meat.

Kind of freaks me out. Plant burger that "bleeds" myoglobin . I'm intrigued, though. Please let us know how it was!

I thought Burger King had it but I didn't see it and forgot to ask. So I am eating the world's worst whopper instead.

Burger King does have it, at some locations at least. Sorry about your whopper.

I've never been able to eat Burger King burgers. They taste too much like cow, too meaty.

I tried a Five Guys burger for the first time the other day, soooooo tasty. But almost 15 quid with a drink and chips, ouch!

Okay, well, I finished an impossible burger: my first and my last. Last because I am leaving earth soon, not because it wasn't yummy!

So....it was delicious, taste and texture not merely "reminiscent" of a real meat burger but actually indistinguishable from one. Definitely recommend.

Only caveat is that they are THREE TIMES the cost of a regular burger :(.

Thanks for the feedback. Shame about the price. I don't see it going down much in the future. With the trouble of having to dedicate a separate cooking station just for beyond meat, they'd have to pass that cost onto the burger. After the novelty has worn off, a lot of people may go back to the cheaper option. Plus the beef industry and lobbyists will never allow it to actually compete against beef.

Still going to try one! And since we fast over 200 days a year (we'll I'm suppose to, but don't) this will be a nice change from lentils. So many god damn lentils. :ohh:

It's quite good but overpriced where I had it. I prefer a simple black bean burger, or something similar.

I've had one just so I could say I've had one. It's good, but I'm not giving up meat for it!

I don't remember much about it but I had one at Bareburgers before. It was kinda neat, 'cause both the texture and taste were like real meat. If you had given it to me without telling me what it was, I would have thought it was real meat.

All that said, the burger itself was good but not mindblowingly good. I would still go for a regular burger if I wasn't dieting.

Haven't had one but I had a similar veggie type burger at A&W. It's really close to the real thing but slight after taste gives it away. These imposter-meat burgers are not healthy btw (lots of sodium) and thus they're similar to other burgers in the health aspect but at least we're saving a life by switching. I usually don't eat burgers but maybe once every couple of months. I bet if I grew up on these burgers it would be good enough to never try real meat.

I want actual lab grown meat...not some weird soy/hemoglobin/hydrogenated oil mass that looks like meat. I'd rather have a classic bean based veggie burger than this.
