I'm scared of if i were to try and attempt it would be super painful, and if I survived it would leave me horrifyingly disfigured in some way.

I do understand having these fears, especially the one of surviving a suicide attempt and ending up with damage. I just hate how suicide has to be so difficult and risky for us, it's just so cruel how as humans we are denied a peaceful and straightforward way to exit this existence without suffering in the process, if had a method like Nembutal I would be long gone at this point.
But yes, it sounds beyond horrific failing a suicide attempt and ending up in a situation of way worse torture, I just think the fact that reliable methods are restricted and how we are expected to just suffer no matter what proves that this world really is hell.

It's a shame that we can't go to a clinic and just deal with this with some type of dignity. The human is (in western culture) very vile and mean in this regard. The idea that they're going to 'save' someone from death is one of the biggest absurdities of this society. They don't mind if hungry, homeless, or in pain. Just don't CTB on your own. The human wants to try to control EVERYTHING. Including aspects of death. Almost to say that there's a 'sanctioned' or 'approved' way to leave. It sucks that, in addition to the pain, the risks and the aftermath (whether loved ones or someone who has to clean it all up), this is such a difficult process. Everything with this life is so backwards... including leaving it.

Life is "so worth living" that the State literally has to keep you here by force. 🤡

Like it or not, if you buy food, utilities, gas, clothes, etc, you are (to them) a vital part of keeping the economy going, and that makes it in their best interest to keep you around.

rhe inert gas method is (allegedly) painless, pretty fincky and expensive (if you're going for scba) though. SN apparently doesn't hurt that much? just a burning throat, maybe a headache, and some other unpleasant but not painful per say symptoms. plus if you fail it looks like most people make a full recovery (aka most of the failed attempts ive seen in my small time here walked it off with some vitamin c and maybe a hospital visit).

still, i get you. i'm a huge fucking coward when it comes to pain. those people who attempt via cutting scare me a lil bc man id give up after the first cut, if i could even bring myself to do it... brrrr

Having had two failed attempts and two very different points in my my life, the last in my late 20's was the worst.
The hospital and mental health emergency ward, constant tears and having to lie again and again to prove I was doing better. The failing is worse!!
