I’m getting several thousand dollars in a settlement. I need advice to start a new life

I was going to use it to buy another car. Mine was vandalized to the point of being unusable. Now I'm hanging out with my family on a trip. I don't normally see them often but now I remember why I don't come around ever. I want to cut contact and leave the state.

The problem is I'm on disability and can't work. It's been overall miserable. I just want out of this situation for awhile before I die. I know if I take the money and leave that disability will cut me loose, but I'm ready to get off this form of slavery. You can only have so much money while on disability.

If you are planning to leave, maybe look up what states would be more accommodating for you? Or if you're looking for cheap living, you can look that up too. See which state catches your eye and go from there? Maybe you have friends in another state that wouldn't mind you staying with them for a bit?
