Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted here, and I wanted to say a few words.

I'm one of the original founders of the forum. I stepped away in 2021 after being doxxed by the New York Times and was forced to resign at that time.

Recently, I've returned in an advisory capacity to support the current site operator in navigating the situation with OFCOM, and to advocate more broadly for free expression and free speech, rights that are fundamental here in the US, and more important now than ever.

I want to be clear: I don't have any administrative powers or direct control over the site. I'm simply here to offer guidance, support, and solidarity with the community I helped create, and still deeply care about.

Thank you for coming back and for everything you've done to build and protect this space. It's easy to forget that communities like this don't just appear. They're created and maintained by people willing to take serious risks so the rest of us can speak honestly, maybe for the first time.

What happened to you in 2021 was awful, and the fact that you're still here, even just in an advisory role, speaks volumes. Free expression and bodily autonomy go hand in hand, and it's clear those values are needed now more than ever.

I remember you being here Marquis and when all of that went down. Not long after I joined one of my posts got taken down for what I never knew perhaps by some automated method. Anyway, I reached out and you restored it so I was grateful for that and knew there were mods who were capable and smart. So many sites , particularly like facebook , you have zero recourse if some twit bans you but it was never like that here. I was surprised to see your post and am glad to have you back around even if it's temporary but I hope you stay! Thank you for stepping back in during this. I saw the email from admin but I have no idea how to donate through crypto. I did web searches and still don't know how

Welcome back, Marquis. I very much appreciate all of the sacrifices you've made in order to create a forum such as this, and to protect it over the years, and even now again.

I know you have other things on your plate right now, but if you could find a little time to do some brainstorming with Rain, maybe some other relevant people, too, regarding some other way besides crypto to make donations, and still maintain necessary security, it would be very much appreciated by the multitudes of crypto-adverse members, of which I am one.
