I've been thinking about this lately. If I wanted to CTB but if someone attacked me, would I just let them finish the job?In my case, I wouldn't 'cause I'd want the end of my life to be my own decision and I'd want it to be peaceful. What about you?


What if you were headed to the Home Depot store to literally buy supplies for CTB and you were attacked? What would you do?

it depends on how i'm attacked, because if i'm stabbed or something then yeah i don't want to die so slowly and painfully but if i'm getting shot i won't stop them and just pray they hit me somewhere vital yknow

same boat. i wouldnt let them, because i want it to be my choice. like shit maybe its my ego but i want to be in control of my own death not have some fuckhead take me out impersonally. like if someone were to attack me i would want it to be personal, i would want them to know who they were killing. i also just find it deeply unfair when people send others to meet their maker, like who gave you the right to do that? im not scared of the pain or anything, just the lack of control and my own choice being taken from me. honestly though if someone attacked me i could see my dumbass reacting too slowly anyway lol

I often wonder these things too. I totally get why sometimes it sounds good in theory. But I think you are all way underestimating SI. It's there if you try to ctb yourself and it will surely be there if you are suddenly attacked. Probably even stronger. You are at the very least going to try to fight back and do not know if it will be successful or not. It's just human instinct.

How often are people attacked on their way to Home Depot? Tbh I think that your survival instincts would still kick in with homicide, because it's on their terms, and you aren't dying with dignity that way.

I would try to run, fight back, call the cops, literally anything to get away from the attacker. You don't know what this person's motives are and there's a lot of things they could do to you that are worse than murder...

I hope I'd fight back. I hate bullies. Even if I lost, I hope I'd give them hell before and scratch out DNA to get them caught before they picked on someone else.

But yeah, like others have said, I'd want it to be my decision. No one else's.

Well I am very defensive and it is in my instinct to fight back. Having said that I have walked away from many a violent situation in my time. But if somebody was violently attacking me, they better kill me because it won't end well for that person.

Threats from afar? Walk/run and contact police. I don't have time for that.

In close proximity and I feel threatened? Pepper spray and then bailing. Closer than that? My knife is out.

If a higher chance of dying exists I'll take it. But if the likely result is getting hurt, only I'm allowed to hurt myself, thanks.

Depends on the person and how I was being attacked. Being attacked in of itself wouldn't even guarantee me being killed and would more likely leave me alive but in a worse state. I'd realistically only let it happen if the person had full intent to do it in some less-miserable way.

My sense is if I got seriously attacked, I would probably try to permanently injure or kill the person, and feel like I did a good thing for the world that way. And given I've never done that before, would probably die trying.
