20s is still too young. I'm 20 and still don't know what the fuck I'm doing, and I have no guidance. I even think leaving earlier would be better... at 20, you are already really fucking lost

Honestly. It's better if that hypothetical child never knew me. I'd cause more damage with being suicidal then good. The kid has better chances somewhere else. No, and under no circumstances would I ever do the shameful and disgusting thing of choosing to procreate. It horrifies me the thought of ending up pregnant and giving birth as well. There is no need for new life to be brought here and there is no value in creating unnecessary suffering that would inevitably be experienced in a world where chance so cruelly determines everything. Procreation is something that is so incredibly harmful, and it seems like such an evil thing to burden someone with existing as it's undeniable that procreation is the ultimate source of all of life's problems.

I hope I would. I lost my Mum to natural death (cancer) when I was 3. That has impacted my whole life. I'd actually hope I wouldn't do it while they were alive at all. I've hung on for my Dad for 33 years already.

Still- of course- it would depend on the circumstances. I know some people just can't hang on. My current situation is very much a selfish but profound disatisfaction with life. I can get by- I just don't want to. It would have to depend on just HOW bad things were I guess. I do feel so sorry for people in that situation.

I put no because I'm never going to have kids, but even if I did, I still wouldn't stick around for them. For one thing, I could never love them or care for them the way they need me to, since I can barely take care of myself anyway.

The safest thing to do is make sure this hypothetical never happens. That's all I can say.

I don't know that it's possible to have a baby by accident. Maybe in those rare cases where the mother didn't realize she was pregnant until she went into labor.

Wdym not possible. Accidental pregnancies happen all the time. And if the girl refuses to do an abortion (understandable) - that's it.

You can get pregnant by accident, but if you refuse an abortion, then you're deliberately having a baby.

I honestly don't know if I'd stick around. A part of me is still curious about how parenthood feels like... Not that I'd want to use my hypothetical child as some sort of experiment, of course. It's just that, after all I've done, the way my mother still loves me is puzzling to me. Maybe having a child would help me understand. At the same time, I don't feel like putting an act for another 20 years so I might just ctb before the child gets to know me, that only if I'm able to make sure he/she ends up in a good family.

No i would say no because like others i believe i am good to not have kids at least until i am sure i will not mess them up. I believe not having kids is much better than having kids and Messing them up like my parents did to me. I would rather save a life by not having kids. I would literally beg them to have an abortion because i'm a severely mentally ill trans person. If they didn't care about that and let it grow- cool. I don't wanna be around for that and it would push me to CTB. if they did abort, then things would remain the same.

there is no such thing as an accidental or unexpected pregnancy, people have to stop being so dense to not realize that when sperm goes inside a vagina it fertilizes the egg! gee no wonder! how unexpected that could happen! lol wake up folks. To answer your hypothetical question, yes id stick around because you are responsible for that child, you made the child, the child is literally your sperm and dna that grew. They never asked to be born .

I had an unexpected pregnancy almost two decades ago. It was the final thing that pushed me to make an attempt (benzos + booze) though obviously it ultimately failed. I was on two types of birth control and was going through chemo. I got my shit together long enough to get an abortion, which is still one of the best decisions I've ever made. Everything else aside, it was physically miserable: I felt like I had a parasite that was killing me. No maternal urges whatsoever. I've been sterilized since, thankfully, though unmarried and childless in my 30s living in the southern US Bible Belt, it wasn't easy to find a doctor who would do it. On a humorous note though, the Planned Parenthood in Mobile, Alabama is right DIRECTLY across the street from Chuck E Cheese, or it was in 2005.
