Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Lets say I ctb in my apartment. I live alone. I arrange it so the local cops find me. Now obviously, they're gonna tell my landlord,"Dudes dead!"
But will they say ," That sob offed himself! Ha ha he took SN! Loser!" Or words to that effect.
I really don't want anyone outside of the authorities to know I ctb!

If you're going to therapy or otherwise their notes will get taken and so they will get end up informed of your death. That aside, parents are also typically informed upon suicide of their child. Your job will likely be informed by police as well if you have one.

Like @Seiba said. Theyll alert the people that need to know and that should be it. Unless someone alive decided to make a big deal about it (sometimes warrented, sometimes not)
But will they say ," That sob offed himself! Ha ha he took SN! Loser!" Or words to that effect.
But this?? Unless its a really shitty department, no. Thats just disrespectful and theyd be asses.

I dont think law enforcement folks will have time to dwell on individual CTB cases. They have crimes to solve. crimes to deter.

but information will travel. neighbors, friends, relatives will talk about exciting gossip to talk about. blogs/local news orgs need something to fill their news columns. Its very very difficult to contain CTB news.

Suicide is rarely reported in the news. Gossip can spread though.

Yes, I did not reply to that because I figured he was joking in that regard. The police are more likely likely to breach the subject by saying I have some shocking/distressing news and I'm sorry for your loss more so than mock the death of the person. If they do mock the death, it would be among themselves. I do recall one suicide stream where the police laughed at the room of the person who shot himself in the head because he had anime posters, but no grieving family members were around and I imagine some degree of that might be needed when you see walls painted with brain blood spaghetti.

This is true as everything gets spread about. All you have to do is look at the media and you'll see news on people who have CTB'd.
Most death news is relatively hard to contain but CTB news especially I feel, which doesn't help the people who feel the same in my opinion.

But eventually, the law enforcement and news organisations will end up forgetting about the case as soon as they find something else "interesting" to investigate or write up on due to the view people today have on suicide and it being a sort of "taboo" subject. The only people who won't forget are family and close friends, which I think says something about how society is in this day and age as a whole.
