Discussion If you could choose CTB in an assisted way, would you do it?

Whether in the company of family and friends, few can achieve CTB in this way and the vast majority do it for terminal illnesses. But, if you could CTB assisted, would you do it that way?

As long as I don't have to be in the company of family & friends, then yes. I love them I just don't want my final moments surrounded by tears and stuff. But I would love to have the peaceful death without any of the anxiety of doing the work yourself.

The government will do everything they can to keep us alive not cus they care bc they would lose money if we ctb. Pretty sure everyone on this website would take assisted death and the website would probably not exist anymore.

I don't want to cause anyone a trouble by helping me. And I won't help anyone to commit suicide. I think suicide is a personal choice and we only should handle the responsibility of that decision.

Euthanasia is what I want. I want a peaceful death which is just like falling into a deep sleep. I wouldn't have to do it myself in secrecy and there is no risk of failing. Everybody would know about it in advance as it would be on a set date and they would have time to come to terms with my choice.

I would absolutely love to be peacefully put to sleep, without having to surprise anyone who would care, and with no risks of permanent damage to my body while still being kept alive. It's beyond disappointing that having the ability to do that isn't considered a human right. After all, we did not give our consent to be born, so we shouldn't be forced to deal with the consequences if we don't like them. I will just say, that if being able to end your life peacefully was something people would not constantly physically obstruct you from doing, that it would make me somewhat respect humanity, even if just by a little.

Don't care if I do it myself or not, any help would be very much appreciated. Best thing would be if I could rent a shotgun or buy N (so the "assistance" here would just be to get the fuck out of my way law-wise). I'd also like to be able to use an inert gas set-up or carotid-closer device that someone else had set up and now takes payment for ppl to use it (alt. govt. does it).
