• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Happenstance. Nothing more than a confluence of events. That's what I believe.

From what I understand of the universe, and everything it would mean that everything is nothing. A theory made by Steven Hawking that the universe is balanced by matter, and anti-matter which makes everything nothing. My idea that the reason for existence is to the be eyes of the universe, and to appreciate it while it lasts, but it still doesn't change that in the end that everything is equal to zero.

I think- if you're looking for an actual universal reason for everything to be alive (and suffering,) you're likely going to have to start dipping into belief- spirituality/ religion/ sci-fi. I don't think there's any proven reason for it all.

I guess it's up to the individual again. It seems fine for you to believe your own life is meaningless. Even life in general. When it comes to other people and animals though- perhaps it's enough for them to just be here experiencing it all. They may have found their own purpose in life- so, don't need there to be a universal purpose. Some of them will have achieved incredible things- so- when they die- their legacy lives on.

Ultimately- yeah- we all die. Still- with that thinking- you can start to believe it doesn't matter whatsoever how you behave- because- nothing matters- right? Treat people terribly, commit crime, be a total arsehole... Lol. Maybe that is what's happening in the world!

No, I just see existence as being a horrific, tragic and unnecessary mistake, disturbing the ideal state of non-existence. There should just be nothing instead, it disgusts me how existence has caused so much endless suffering to be experienced all throughout history, existence itself is the true problem.
