If an animal is suffering... and it is given peaceful N for example, then why can't we also have the same right to a peaceful way out?
Especially when we are choosing for our own life and we ourselves know better than anyone else what our daily life is really like and the painful reality we face.
Once someone is an adult and they've already done their best, tried what they could, or whatever their circumstances are that just make everything so unbearable, why do animals have more rights than we do?
I love animals too, but my point is...why it is that animals are given more sympathy??
What's that old saying...They shoot horses don't they?
As some other fantastic members on here mentioned, who says the problem is "temporary"? Even if you might consider a problem temporary, who says the next person does? It's their life, it should be THEIR right.
Ultimately it should be up to each person, as only they are forced to experience that individual life.
People can't just say "well you just have to do the best you can, or give it more time"...what if they have already tried/done all those things?
There's always an assumption that there's always "help" out there, but that kind of "help" doesn't make a dent in it. It might work for some, but it seems that for at least half of the people out there and their particular circumstances, including mine, it doesn't help me and many others at all.
If you were trapped on an island that had predators, virtually no financial assistance when you need it desperately, chaos, violence, almost constant suffering with occasional breaks in between, does that justify staying on the "island"? What if you could take a boat and escape?
To finally get out of there to a better place?
But a lot of the people on the island that had the luxury of an easier circumstance than you, said "no don't leave, that's so sad, you should stay and just keep trying to survive it all", Based on the tiny chance that it might get better, what if it has never gotten better over many years, and just gets worse?
Should I/We still continue to stay on the island of chaos & pain continuing to suffer for more years and years?
Why would I stay and just keep accepting a place that is so harmful and upsetting to me?
Why should we just continue to live with the damage (because "that's life on the island") and suffer after affects of more continuous damage.. all for what exactly?
Why not just leave the crappy place if you can?!
What do you all think?
I understand the pro lifers would say, "oh don't kill yourself, that's so sad"...
Sad for who??
Maybe for them, but my leaving this exhausting realm would be wonderful freedom from suffering and plenty of happiness for me and apparently for so many of us.
Besides, with the way things are now in America, it's almost turning into a slave society for so many millions of innocent people, barely making ends meet, constant pressure constant violence, constant exhaustion… So excuse me if I want to stop being a slave and escape this horrible place...
Why do animals get the liberation from suffering but we don't?
Would love to hear your thoughts...
Personally, i dedicate this song to American society and all of its lies, having people believe if they just keep jumping through a bunch of hoops, and buy into their
illusions that somehow It will all work out, or that it will all be worth it, if you just work hard and put in a lot of effort… etc.
Quite a performance / show they brainwash people with... sadly for me and so many others sadly fell for...
