• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

No. But also yes. You can use a almost unlimited amount of material to strangle yourself.

But some are more effective and comfortable then others, so if you really don't give a shit, use your shoelace. If you want to minimize risk, increase chances of success, and reduce pain, use a good rope.

Yeah it is shocking the neglect & lack of care (tragically sometimes the opposite) these patients receive - in many cases the so called 'treatment' or period of staying making them much worse - it's heartbreaking. That being said when some people are v. Determined they will find almost anyway to do it! - I've read some crazy stories - like stuff I could never have even imagined such people have done - to try and ctb. My main concern/ question, is why did they not receive the adequate care way before they even got to that stage- and it often transpires that they did not- some help/ treatment/ intervention or whatever you want to call it - seems to come far far to late. Funding/staffing/ sufficient training (not to mention screening) for all the health care professionals involved seems to be severely lacking. From what's I've read/ seen.

It only takes 5 minutes to get death from hanging if done right. Their suicide watch is 15 min. Says something

not sure what you mean? they check every 15 minutes? do you think they should watch them more? Im not sure that will really achieve anything. The help needs to come way before it gets to the stage where they need to check on someone every 5 minutes...its the primary care that is lacking is my point. It would be virtually impossible and cruel even - to watch someone constantly no? what kind of life is that...

In the US part of suicide watch is to give you a bunk mate so you're never alone. What a nightmare.
