It would break my heart for them because despite wanting to die myself I think knowing someone close to me wanted to kill themselves would be incredibly sad. I think a big part of me would want to try to find solutions and get them help (with their consent) because I do think in many cases there are things that can help make things better but at the same time I understand being in the amount of pain you have to be in to seriously consider and plan to kill yourself with no hope or desire for things to get better. I think knowing the pain they had been suffering would also break my heart though and I do believe that adults should have the right to take their lives if they are suffering that much so I think I would also want to respect their wishes to end things.
I think even with all my conflicting feelings I would say yes though. Only for maybe two of the people I am close with though the thought of either of them getting to that point pains me and I hope with everything in me neither of them ever come to that.
I do think it would be nice to not die alone though and to have someone I could tell everything to and help bounce plans and ideas off of who would accept my decision and not try to stop me.

Maybe, it depends, I see both sides. The side of me that wouldn't want them to die, but also my selfish side, that thinks that maybe if I had partner it would be easier
