Not sure if I ever created a thread like this. I couldn't find it at least.

Maybe we are Lemmings. There are a lot of myths around Lemmings like they were a suicide cult. The reality looks quite different. They sometimes kill themselves accidentally and not really intentionally.

Maybe we are Dolphins. Quite smart but also weird. I think they are able to commit suicide. They can consciously decide to stop breathing.

Beached Whales. There is a lot of drama around us.

The suicidal lemming theory is an urban myth- shockingly reinforced by horrifying behaviour from Disney- where film makers purportedly threw lemmings off a cliff to support the theory:

So- it depends how you look at it really. Are some people here being forced into suicide by their situations? Are they the ones being pushed off the cliff? Maybe. Not by this website though.

It's a spider for sure. Mysterious, fearsome, and loved and adored by a small, morbid subset of people. Also, so many try to destroy or kill spiders while not realizing the good that they do for the ecosystem. This site is a public good.
