In the eyes of the legal system of the world, if you're rescued, those people would be considered hero's (sadly) and the courts of the world would say that they saved you. Also, you can't do anything as a vegetable.

I would highly recommend to make an advanced directive, get an do not resuscitate order, and other documents that allow you to choose how/when/what treatments you will allow or not allow. I would do this before I attempted, let alone become a vegetable (as the latter would be too late).

Yep. Also look up if living wills and do not resuscitate orders are respected in the event of a suspected suicide in your area.
