I need help, I don't want it but im aware that its necessary for me to get at some point because im not sure if meds alone will help, and I might not just be depressed. Im scared one day im going to go over the edge and actually decide to ctb. Im scared i might have another (hypo?)manic episode and do something drastic, and not be able to deal with the consequences later. Im still dealing with the consequences of my last major one and it gave me a bad reputation that I will most likely never live down. I havent been diagnosed with bipolar (other than being suspected of it at a psychward) but i talked to my GP and she said to get on a psychiatrist waiting list, but I feel like i'll be wasting those peoples time and I am just so stressed right now I really dont want to deal with making and going to appointments.

Pretty please get on that list as soon as possible. You will still have to wait a long time for an appointment. You are worth it.
Those medications can help you - you might have something easy to diagnose and treat. Can anyone support you to get on that list? It's really important.
I don't personally have a working medication, but you could be lucky and if you are it will help.

Don't feel like you're wasting anyone's time. It's their job to try and help you so if you need help, go and get it.

They will make you wait maybe 3 months maybe longer, so the sooner you are on the list the better.
Ps you have to get a psychiatrist appointment for a diagnosis and the correct medication. A GP can not diagnose and cannot prescribe for Bipolar. So please look after yourself and get on that list.

I second LittleJem, the sooner you get onto the waiting list the quicker you'll get seen. You're not wasting anyone's time, especially if your GP has recommended it. Once you've seen the psychiatrist hopefully they'll be able to make a treatment plan for you and get you on the right medication/therapy.

I know its not easy but pls do try to put the cart before the horse.
As in, you dont feel like it now but if you force yourself to act you might feel better later on.

I have decided to take the advice and call the mental health service ive been with before for counseling. I left a message and I have to see a therapist first and get referred before I am put on the waiting list, im not exactly looking forward to it but i know my bf will be happy with me. Thank you guys for giving me the motivation i needed to at least start, and i will try to keep going with getting the help i need.
