Maybe it's because it allows them to cope but whenever someone people know ctb or is depressed as s*** they all say "he should have done this, he should have tried that".

It's incredible how your friends/family will do whatever mental gymnastic it takes to deny that some problems in life just happens to be impossible to solve.

They want to think such situations will never happen to them because "ho it's easy in that situation I would do so much better than him !". And all this self improvement bs is just making this phenomenon worse.

Worse is some of your friends might know and might have saw that you did everything possible behond reasonable because you wanted so much them to be proud of you, you wanted so much to get up but... it just... didn't work, you didn't make it... so they're still gonna put you the "not trying enough" label.

The fact is that so many in this world are just in denial of the fact that suicide is actually a perfectly logical option that makes a lot of sense, people like that are just so ignorant and don't wish to face the cruel, harsh reality of this existence. And I just think many people don't wish to come to terms with the fact that life can actually get so unbearable as it shatters their delusional worldview, but anyway other people's opinions shouldn't matter once we've finally left this world, it isn't like we will be there at that point.

Most likely, it's their way of coping with the loss, even when it is a terrible way of doing so. It's much easier to feel less grief if there's an implicit idea that someone's suicide was their fault because they simply "didn't try hard enough" to get out of their "funk."

Worse is some of your friends might know and might have saw that you did everything possible behond reasonable because you wanted so much them to be proud of you, you wanted so much to get up but... it just... didn't work, you didn't make it... so they're still gonna put you the "not trying enough" label.
Ironically, people who do that are the ones who weren't "trying enough." They don't bother attempting to understand your situation, and, when they do, they somehow always find a way to make light of it. (Truly despicable people turn it into a joke afterwards.)
