I honestly wish we had a lobbyist because we have a metric ton of problems with the overall system

1. Instead of media, political, etc focusing on what causes people wanting to off themselves. They look at the act itself. Sadly, this is nothing new since the Church for a long time used the going to hell thing instead of looking at the why.

Like when you do get groups that look at the why and many times it comes down to money problems, lack of ability to move up in the world, etc. This tends to be completely ignored, and worse sometimes used against the dead people. Calling them cowards, taking the easy way out, etc. Or the system acts as the person legit had a way to move up in the world, that they had a way to solve their money problems, and so on. It's similar to the Dave Ramsey things
Where at the same time he is saying he will increase the rent and kick people out because those who couldn't pay rent will never be able to, but at the same time he never gives raises based on increased cost of living.
Where you are damn if you do and damn if you don't. And don't expect an ounce of help, but expect to be put down.

2. It makes no sense why killing yourself is basically outlawed. Like it isn't directly outlawed, but due to cops ability to detain you and put you in a mental hospital against what you want, and that mental hospital can lock you up for a set amount of time or forever in some places. And if you are in a job like being a pilot, gov job, etc. This can cause you to get fired even if you were found to be sane. This is outlawed basically.

Like as long as you aren't showing off in doing it in public, if you aren't involving others that don't want to be apart of it, and you do it in a way where it can't hurt others. I don't understand the problem.

Then something I don't understand is how is it my body my choice only when dealing with abortion, but it is taboo when it is about taking your own life.

I do wish that we lived in a society where our right to die is respected. Life is completely meaningless after all and we will all die eventually someday, so to me it is wrong to try and force people to live against their wishes. None of us asked to exist in the first place and living is not an obligation, it is a personal choice. Suicide should not be so stigmatised.

They don't want the slaves to die. Then they can't benefit the system.

I was thinking that too, but the slaves aren't working or picking other methods.

I think it has more to do with money. It's like why cops try to over do DUI and so on. Even if most who are arrested their charges are dropped because the cops shouldn't arrested them to start with, and there was 0 evidence of a DUI being taking place. The station gets a grant for pumping their numbers even if they are based on a lie.
It's similar to how cop unions are already fighting fully self driving cars from coming out. 90% of the force isn't needed anymore and it makes it virtually impossible to do anything since traffic stops will be a thing of the past. This also takes away the ability to give out DUI since the car itself is driving itself fully, and the owner can't drive it outside giving a location where to go.

But what gives me hope is people will pay stupid money to make sure their last moment is painless and quick. And if we had suicide offices like we have abortion offices. It will make it 100% possible.

Dave Ramsey is an idiot by the way.

First off, he's Christian. That's self explanatory reason number one for why he's an idiot.

He's one of the worst financial advisors out there objectively . This is on a purely objective basis if you ask the question "how could you end up with more and not less money than when you started ".

Dave Ramsey tells you there is no such thing as good debt. Total fucking bullshit. We can argue until kingdom come about the ethics of debt and how it fits in Ramsay's distorted worldview, but in terms of making money debt is used to great effect. for the past decade it's been possible to borrow at 0 percent APR unsecured via credit cards (in reality it's about roughly 2 percent per year because of the balance transfer fee , depends on the specific deal).

If someone had constantly taken unsecured loans and thrown it into the market , they would be way ahead of where they started in 2010. There are even some people who are coming out ahead with home equity loans using a similar strategy.

Will this idea work for all time and for all places? No, but generally if someone is letting you borrow at 1-2 percent annually that you can use to invest in productive assets of all kind that's a stellar deal. You could own something blue chip or a dividend aristocrat and the dividend alone could be used to service the unsecured debt , with you taking pure profit on stock appreciation.

I hate Dave Ramsey. He's such a bullshitter and there are probably so many Americans in the hole because they listen to his bad advice. The only thing he gets right is not to go into debt for consumeristic BS

Having a lobbyist wouldn't really matter. The entire political system is screwed up and the majority of the politicians are corrupt.

They'll always go for what makes the most money.

Politicians never truly care about the people. They'll pass certain laws to throw a bone and keep their system stable to prevent an implosion or maybe pass some laws to increase national wealth but beyond that they don't care
