I'm also a new believer, do not go to religion just have a relationship with Jesus (talk to him like you'd talk to yourself or another person) and it is the only way you would get a chance to go to heaven. You only get into heaven by God's grace alone. Please reach out, my whole perception in life has done a 360 when I called out to Jesus to show me the light. I have never truly believed in the whole god stuff until I decided to reach out. Sending so much love and strength your way I pray you to receive it. Having faith won't magically get rid of your pain but it WILL help you be able to see clearer and help yourself have the motivation to live.
BTW it took a whole emotional but most importantly physical experience to be like oh crap he's real

I feel the same. The unknown is so scary so it makes ctb that much harder. I also worry that without a god, there is no assurance the people I love will be ok. It's really hard

To me its almost you think hes real by the way you speak of forgiveness and heaven. I Do believe he is real along with Heaven / afterlife and such, which is one of the numerous reasons Im still here.

I Really dont like getting into discussions about religion and God because Everyone has the Right to believe in whatever they Feel is true. I cant say I Know 120% beyond a doubt, but I Believe he is here with us all in spirit... Makes it so Much Fckn harder on me to give in and CTB, Damnt !

I do not believe in religion personally. I honestly do not wish there was anything. I take comfort from the fact that this is all meaningless and when we die there is nothing. I don't like the thought of an afterlife. Yes, we suffer a lot, but I see it as when we lose consciousness, it will be the end of us. To me we are just on this earth for evolutionary purposes and that is it, there is nothing more to it.

I do believe there is something greater than us, a whole of the universe that is loving and allmighty in some way. Reality being random wouldn't make sense.
I became very spiritual in the last years, I've called to the universe many times for help but they didn't answer, I still believe they are real tho, and that there's reason behind not answering.

I don't think godly beings are that proud of themselves that they won't let you in unless you praise their greatness, whatever is almighty and loving is also able to forgive and find good in every being.
I don't think Christian heaven or Christian hell are real, eternity would be too cruel for hell and even an eternity of heaven is probably a nightmare.
Reincarnation makes more sense.

If you feel like becoming spiritual would give you more peace in this life or in the passing away from it I strongly advice you to. If you don't want to be attached to any "mainstream" belief I would advice Jung's texts on spirituality and the afterlife (he draws a bit from Christian Gnosticism but he has a very personal approach and his personal history as a fisherman of the unconscious makes it a believable source for me).

Every night when I'd cry myself to sleep I begged for God or anyone who was listening to please change my life. Remove me from my home situation, make people treat me better, make me good looking and well respected etc. Never happened. My cries for help fell upon deaf ears. If God is real he chooses favorites while everyone else he hates is cursed to live a horrible life. Idk wtf I did to deserve any of this (or what kind, hard working and honest people did either). Seems like the most selfish and evil people of this world are always rewarded by God while the honest woman/man is punished.

Religion is a dangerous delusion that needs to be called out, not all beliefs deserve to go uncriticized, like the belief that one race has less worth than another, sure everyone has the right to such a belief, but I also have the right to call them out for what it is-bullshit.
Nobody should kill themselves under the false assumption that there will be a God and Heaven waiting for them.
You should only end your life if you're willing to accept that there's a better chance than not, that you will simply rot in the ground, in the same sense-free pitch black that you existed within, long before you were born.

I did the same when I was younger, although it was more out of desperation than belief.
No prayers were answered with anything but more turmoil.
Like you said, even if God were real, he would certainly not be a being worth our time and energy! I would spit in his face!
And you're right, it is often the worst of people who live fulfilled and rewarding lives, while the most decent are thwarted from happiness.

Except that reality being random doesn't have to make sense, because it's random, by definition 'making a whole lot of sense' would not be a requirement.
