Story I went back to my old job and everyone was happy to see me

I had a retail job last year that I actually really enjoyed (for a job), but I ended up needing to quit because the hours were too much for me with my disability + school schedule. I somehow got that job back recently (but with way fewer hours) and had my first shift yesterday; all of my old coworkers seemed super happy to see me and were voluntarily initiating conversations with me. It freaked me out a little bit because I think of myself as some kind of outcast freak, and here I had several people who were excited to see me. It was so lifefuel but I hope I didn't react too coldly.

Aw, that's beautiful. We often underestimate our positive effect on others. I'm sure them welcoming you back felt overwhelming, but in a good way. Thanks for sharing. I'm stoked this happened to you, and I'm glad they have you back in their lives--since your absence was clearly felt.
