I plan to ctb after I see my eight psychiatrist because I believe he/she has nothing new to offer. When I was on just SSRIs I was ok, not suicidal, but I got manic and violent. Then the very nasty antipsychotics and mood stabilizers made me an eunuc zombie and very suicidal. I tried weed when I was on SSRIs and only one strain seemed to help. Too bad that strain is not available anymore in Colombia, that was my life saver. Weed is illegal here so I cannot depend on something illegal for my health, its a shame.

I'm seeing my 1st psychiatrist in an hour. I think it will be pointless. A waste of time and money.

Good for you for trying! I really appreciate that, gave up after my 7th. (and I know that tough med path)

@TimeToBiteTheDust , you need to keep up , hang on , at least to your 3rd psychiatrist milestone ;) (I understand how excruciatingly futile it feels)

Good luck. Hopefully, this one helps you. I would say maybe you could find the seeds of the strain that helped you and grow it, but it's illegal over there

I have seeds, but because Colombia has different climates, it grows good at 1000 mts above sea level and I am at 2150.

Can you grow inside and get a grow tent?

I think they make big grow tents. And no problem. :)

I hope it went well, maybe even better than you expected.

As for me, I've started seeing a therapist recently. I can't tell you what number he is. I see him again tomorrow. Our first visit was nice, I guess. As nice as it gets for me these days. I'm really trying to be receptive and positive, but it's so hard.

I hope 8 is the lucky number for you. I stopped counting but was thankful my most recent psychiatrist is the best one I've seen. Took over 10 years but finally found her. Wishing you the same luck. Shame I still plan to ctb, if I'd met her sooner maybe things would be different.

Just gave her my personal data and told me to see another psychiatrist next week. Nothing interestimg
Mine was a lot like this, they ask about your history - I think this is standard practice to help them build a sort of foundation from which to work from/with.

Can I ctb with antidepressants OD?
I tried that. It's not a good option. The ones they prescribe these days just damage your liver and kidneys. I had seizures that caused a concussion, and several broken teeth ($6000 in dental work, because I have to pretend that I am not suicidal) I was on a psych ward for 8 weeks, and in groups for 90 days after. I was supposed to be in groups for 18 months. Exhausting!

I was at the end of my rope, so I agreed to see ANOTHER dr in November. I've lost count over the last 18 years. This one switched my meds and now I understand what bi-polar feels like. I've always had major depression, so these extreme happy/sad swings are driving me crazy. I quit sleeping and I've spent an insane amount of money. There are boxes in my house I haven't opened, because I don't need any of the stuff in them. I have periods where I need to die right now followed by an upswing of 5 hours of cleaning. I hate cleaning. I was miserable before, but I literally feel insane now. I'm afraid to tell the dr, because I don't want to be committed while he finds the right drug combo. This sucks!

Are you bipolar? Or could you be, just not diagnosed? I'm asking because you mentioned being manic. Normal antidepressants make bipolar worse and can trigger mania. Have you tried lithium?

Do you find lithium helps any?

I'm not bipolar but take lithium because of the suicidal urges. It doesn't take them away, but it makes things tolerable, usually.

Im taking lithium along depakote, olanzapine, lorazepam and lexapro. I feel horrible and blame the olanzapine cause I hate antipsychotics.
