• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I told my brother that I wasn't interested in life anymore. Does that heavily imply suicide? I'm afraid the cops might show up at my door.

Nah you're good. I've told my psych and therapist I had a plan and everything. As long as you don't mention intention or means you should be fine.

Brother can still call cops and request welfare visit. Doesn't take much to get one of those.

I think it just depends on the context and type of person. Even if a welfare visit hypothetically happened, you didn't say anything explicitly about suicide as far as I see. I imagine you could claim it to have been a misunderstanding.

Text him a funny cat video or something. Ask him a random question like if he's ever noticed how good-looking some celebrity is.

Mention something that's going to occur on a future date, e.g. "I'm thinking about going to that XYZ concert. Would you wanna go?"

That's my go-to when I think I might've said too much or sense people getting all weird on me.

It implies that you're thinking about things not associated with death and they back off.

But, would he do that to you?
I don't think so. He's in another state anyways so I hope he wouldn't tell my family who lives close to me. I just told him that I was just messing with him and that I'm fine.

I agree it depends on the person and context. If I said something like this to my younger sister, she would just think I'm venting about work or something else. However, my older sister, who I've mentioned my Suicidal Tendencies to would be more concerned.
