• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So...uh. Someone in my gf's personal life killed themselves. I honestly don't know what's wrong with me but I basically congratulated them i feel. I just said "it's good that their at peace, there was nothing else" type shit. I feel bad but I honestly don't even react to suicides or death anymore. I dont know what is wrong with me. I'm terrible for this.

I would say you were tired.
It is best to keep a sympathetic response to the death of others. You do not want to be viewed as a jerk.

I understand where you're coming from. Whenever I hear of a suicide I feel a similar sense of pride, as well as inspiration. However, modern society doesn't view suicide fairly and while I agree that the end of suffering is a good thing, the best thing to do is simply to mask up and play the expected role. Shake your head, offer condolences, and move on.

You can always play it off as a shock response. If she asks, apologize and tell her that you were shocked and messed up. I understand where you were coming from tho. Dont worry this can be fixed with a white lie

Umm, that's a totally sensible response? Everything else is selfish and yucky. It's like if everyone in your tribe murdered a puppy, and you were having pangs of conscience over not doing that lmao

A year ago my mom said that the cute intelligent female doctor who had been touching me months prior had died in her sleep, and I congratulated her, too^^

It's okay, you're not a therapist we're humans and you comforted them in the best way you could. If they get mad then they shouldn't have vented and not set boundaries beforehand.

It's always very awkward when someone says to me somebody ctb'd. I can't act like I'm shocked or upset. I think to myself "good for them" but on the outside I just say something casual like "oh really? wow!" I never know what to say without drawing attention to my own suicidality
