I stood up to my mother

My mother has OCD, undiagnosed. She has so many rituals and compulsions . She has many rules and regulations about food and water getting contaminated.
These many days I tolerated and followed all her instructions out of fear of upsetting her and to avoid conflict.
But today and even yesterday I did not follow, I resisted and disagreed with her.
She is upset because of this, but I am feeling a sense of power, the power to not be a pawn at her hands . The power to choose and not get dominated by her.
So happy for this small victory of mine.

Glad that you stood for yourself... Some pple are hard to live with even if they are your parents......

May I ask...Do you live with her or you visit occasionally....
