I spy with my little eye
A sweet little girl who is going to die.
I spy, what do I see?
A sweet little girl on a green little tree.
A rope and a neck and the shade of a smile,
I've long ago grown up yet I'm still just a child
Who lives in the past where she's made a mistake
The pain far too much for a small heart to take
Oh joy, what joy, all of Heaven's bells ring
Soon will join a new angel with white little wings
The branch will not brake and the rope will not sting
A swift painless death is a beautiful thing.
