I don't like self harm, but i guess i have an unconventional history with it. ill start with method 1 which is obsolete.

#1; Head Banging

I used to bang my head on walls when angry or sad, it was soothing. I rarely do it anymore, because A. I want to protect my brain (so I can think smarter about ctb LMAO) B. My mother got worried when I was doing it and that really forced me out of it fast.

#2; Ripping Off My Toenails

Yep. I rip off my fucking toenails. I would show an image but thats probably a bit graphic and nobody wants to see, google exists just look up ripped off toenails. This started as a kid when my nail picking habit went wrong. Picked too deep on one of my toes and the whole nail came off. It was excruciating and I recovered, my toenail grew back and that was that. Until, again and again, I would slowly do it more. I'd say I've done it a maximum of 10 times throughout my life, although it really could be more, I'm not even sure. I have been doing this for a while and it isn't even gratifying in any way or anything. Just a bad nail picking habit. I usually do this on one toe since it's used to it and the nail regrows faster im pretty sure (i think your nails become more resistant the more times something like this happens. It bleeds a lot and I have to clean it. Very annoying because I usually do this right before I'm going to sleep but it happens cuz I lay restless. I am such a fucking chud lmao, ridicule me or whatever (Edit: It also has hurt less and less over time and im able to rip it off easier. ? is this what evolution is 💀)

Definitely have done my fair share of head banging, but never hard enough bc I'm afraid of actual pain. But the nail thing sounds excruciating, I'm sorry :( Nobody will ridicule you, only I hope you can quit eventually 🫂

The head banging is more common than you'd think, actually........ good number of people out there that do it as a reflexive response to extreme distress or anger. I've done this in the past and still kind of struggle with the urge sometimes.

No form of any behavior done to intentionally hurt oneself is any more "weird" than any other; they're all equally fucked from one perspective and equally sensible from another.

I can definitely relate to the nail ripping part. I would rip the skin around the nail ever since I was little but then started actually riping the entire nail. it's an obsessive behavior I do too often at this point.
And yes they become much easier to rip off and the pain sorta stops.

agree to disagree, honestly i feel like theres definitely "weird" ways to sh that probably only a few people do, i mean weird as in unconventional but also the fact its my toenail is funny and stupid and i feel like i should be mocked

honestly i thought i was like one of the only ones who has done that, i feel like any amount of this is too much, i dont wanna damage my feet cuz i like skateboarding when my skateboard isnt stolen and its not winter
