I Russian, pardon for mistakes. I plan to do suicide (exit bag) now. A month ago, I rented a garage and hid the tank and supplies so my parents wouldn't find out. But I couldn't kill myself. I wanted to do it at home in a quiet environment But I didn't know how to bring the balloon home. Turns out I'm a genius. I brought it home in a guitar case!!! The dimensions fit perfectly. I need to commit suicide before tomorrow morning (I have now 20:30). If I don't make it, I'll have to carry it back to the garage. I have read the information about what proverit tightness of the container with soap. How to do it? And I do not understand how to set the gas flow at 15 liters Please help. I attach a picture of the gearbox.

I honestly believe that your best plan is to get out of your home, get out of your country and seek asylum where you will be better recognised and accepted for who you are. Russian laws are famous around the world regarding LGBT. Pack a bag, get together as much money and head west as far as you can. My hopes are with you

I live in a flat. If all 10 liters of gas come out of the cylinder, it will not harm anyone?

I've read a lot about this method and haven't read anything about soap; where did you read this? Sometimes it's recommended the tubing be emmersed in hot water to make it flimsy enough to affix to the tank, could this be what you mean?

Does that gas flow meter have a model number on it i.e. what's the make?

If your chosen gas is helium, then it won't harm anyone.

Я искренне верю, что ваш лучший план - выбраться из дома, покинуть свою страну и искать убежище, где вас лучше узнают и примут за то, кто вы есть. I'm gonna give my 2 cents: never rush a ctb attempt. If you don't have time to do it, make time. You literally have the rest of your life to succeed.

3 things you need:

- Time
- Careful research of information
- Resolution

Inert gas is NOT a method you can rush. You're very likely to fail, give yourself a barotrauma, empty your only tank, and end up worse off.
This site is full of informations and advice on how to test your attempt beforehand.

Sorry but I can't encourage you to go through with it right now, whatever your circumstances.

I use nitrogen.

I use nitrogen.

That won't either. Nitrogen already accounts for most of the air we breathe in

This method shouldn't be too complex if you understand the technicals so I'm here to answer anything if you decide to go through with it (assuming you've tried to get psychiatric help, are of sound mind and are acting fully autonomously. If you want to talk about recovery I'm also here).

it would be good to understand the size of the tank and the quantity in it as I am not getting a good feeling

Thank you for your concern, but I really don't have a choice. Suicide is the best thing for me. I thought about it for a long time. It's best to end here and now.

How can I check the tightness of the cylinder? I will use two plastic bags inserted into each other. Will it tear?

The gauge on the right shows liters per min - you open (turn) the valve until the needle hits 15

Are you using oven roasting bags or anything of a similar strength, as suggested? No ordinary bag will suffice.

I don't know what you mean by tightness - could you list all the details you have like Stan said, what size cylinder are you using, thickness of tubing etc

I would assume you turn the valve until it hits 15 meters on the left hand side of the flow valve. You also need a tube to flow into the bag and some adhesive to keep it from moving inside the bag.

I'm also going to agree with the other posters and say that rushing is a bad idea. If you're going to do this then just order SN and some anti emetics and you can rush that easily.

From 2006 Guide to a Humane Self-chosen Death

"b. Oven roasting bag (19 x 24 inch; 45 x 60 cm.), purchasable in grocery stores (do not substitute oven roasting bags with ones of less strength)."

From Suicide wiki

"The type of bag you use may be an issue. Black bin bags are semi porous, so they can let air in even when sealed. Best to use something made of thick plastic like pencil cases are made from or shower curtains. Something without airholes of any size."

do you have anything like that at home that's like made of polyester

Still don't know what quantity of gas is in the cyliner - it could run out in a minute or be good for 40 minutes. Can't say with that picture. Especially if its a refilled bottle rather than a brand new one

is there any chance of delaying this attempt until you can get one

the garbage bags might not be strong enough. You can try filling up a garbage bag with water and seeing if it leaks to test its porousness

Any idea what you could use besides a roasting bag? What exactly and where can I buy?

Oven roasting bags are very accessible, you can get them at a supermarket. Any particular reason you'd want an alternative?

Do you have PVC tubing and what thickness / diameter? Does it seal nicely around the nozzle of the nitrogen tank?

Do you have any kind of box or other container for the tank to sit inside securely whilst it's dispensing?

When I do this method this is what I'm going to cover.

That was my first choice. I'm determined to go with SN now. Inert gas is really a painless method. But you have to do everything right. Very important point. You must fix yourself in a sitting position. You can take the bag out while you're semi-conscious! Seizure due to hypoxia! Then you can fall to the ground. As a result, it might be a good idea to tie yourself and your hands in a sitting position after put your head into the bag. I think it's too complicated. The reason I prefer SN is that it is less fragile. If things go wrong with inert gas, you can get paralyzed or vegetable. It's not a simple method. You shouldn't rush.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I have a hose that attaches to the gearbox. *photo

I'll just put the tank against the wall and prop it up with something on the other side so it doesn't roll off and get fixed, if that's what you mean.I'll just put the tank against the wall and prop it up with something on the other side so it doesn't roll off and get fixed, if that's what you mean.

Okay, you don't want to answer, I have one more question. How do I fix the hose when I put it in the bag? Do I have to tape it to the inside of the bag?

I agree there are a lot of considerations to make, but ultimately it's the best method in my opinion - or at least the most peaceful - because you're in charge of your fate until the moment you lose consciousness, you can remove the bag at any time (assuming you haven't tied your hands together! Which isn't mandatory) whereas ingesting a substance isn't so easily reversible (in the words of one before they died taking SN: "Just took it. I'm fucking terrified.").

btw in regards to unconscious attempts to remove the bag, this is said in the aforementioned resource:

An inexperienced observer may misinterpret arm-tightening contractions as an effort to remove the bag. This is not the case. These contractions are also common during anesthesia in surgery settings.Witnesses who have attended several helium suicides say that they have never seen a case where the hands have actually reached as far as the plastic bag. They also report that when family members or loved ones are told about these muscular contractions, they are not troubled when they see it happen.Because the patient is unconscious at this point, there will be no experience of discomfort.

I think the bag removing thing is a myth originally propagated by pro-lifers trying to save us, unless there's any story about that that looks credible?

That is what I meant, yes.

I don't think that sounds completely stable, because the hose looks so short. If you move during unconsciousness, is it possible you'll pull the tank over?

How do I fix the hose when I put it in the bag? Do I have to tape it to the inside of the bag?

Well, I'm going to use duct tape.

I have another question. How do I fix the hose when I put it in the bag? Should I tape it to the inside of the bag?

I just edited my last post to answer this but yes. That's what I'm going to do

Google "Guide to a Self-Chosen and Humane Death", the PDF is available on Google. The instructions for this method are on page 66. Everything you need is in there. If you need resources on recovery if you decide to live, I have those too.
