I ordered it 3 days ago

I was fine until last night, I was reading about it and found out how toxic it actually is and the fact that smallest amount of nitrite can cause severe damage (of course a stupid fck like me would do research AFTER buying the thing)

I started panicking and I haven't slept since

I live with my parents and I have a little sister and I don't want the SN near them, I don't want to keep it

I tried to cancel the order but it's too late

How should I dispose it when it arrives? (I ordered 250 grams)

I don't think there's a place that receives pharmaceutical waste in my country

Turns out I'm weaker than I thought... I can't ctb as long as I have a family, of course I didn't ask to be born, but still...

I did lots of mental gymnastics to stop caring about them, but I can't be that selfish, I feel sorry for my parents

I don't know how best you'd dispose of it, you might just be able to dispose of it in a bin if its still in a closed container. Use a public bin if you're worried about it being found. Just do research and make sure it's not gonna be harmful.

To keep your family safe you could buy and put it in a lockbox and store it in there until you've worked out what to do.

Does anyone know if you can take it to the recycling centre? That sounds like the best option to me if I'd want to get rid of it. Where I live they take in toxic waste. (Empty paint cans, ink cartridges etc)

I do not understand your panic. And why would you throw it away ? it´s not illegal to own SN. Only in a few countries there may be problems with importing SN. I don´t know where you live. If you live in the EU and you ordered it from another EU-country, customs is not involved. Otherwise customs might check and open the parcel and might ask questions. Is there any way to redirect the package to a pickup station ? Then you could pick it up there and your family wouldn´t know about it.

Send it to me if you like... I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some but I find the whole purchasing process too confusing and overwhelming and expensive.

Otherwise you could google the phone number for poison control centre in your area and ask them for advice on how to get rid of it. You don't need to tell them the truth about how you have It, you can say your roommate moved out and left it there.
I would strongly advise against putting it in a public bin because you run the risk of exposing people to it at many points in the waste process.

Relax, considering you haven't even received it yet, there's no reason to panic so much. If you really want to get rid of it when/if it arrives, then just throw away the unopened parcel, in your general household rubbish (e.g. black bin)

I'm pretty sure that nobody would open a container that they found in someone's household-bin and eat the contents :ahhha:

It's not pharmaceutical waste just throw it in the bin. Don't panic

Is it possible just to flush it out? I too ordered sn 2 days back and never thought of "what if I change my mind and have to get rid of it" until I saw this post. So is it safe to empty the container to the toilet and just flush it out?

I was reading about SN and it becomes unstable with water, so yes you can just flush it down toilet. Please don't put it in a waterway where it will damage the ecosystem.

The article also specified that there should be no issues with disposal so I guess household rubbish is fine too.

But if it's good quality do send it on, I am sure we would be happy to pay postage. I can't find much online because I'm useless.

Wrap it well, travel out of area, label what it is and for safe disposal, find pharmacy with a letterbox, pull your hat down and your mask up, put through letterbox. They will know how to dispose. Think if child in the house good idea not to leave it accessible....

SNs toxicity shouldn't be an issue as long as you're not rescued.
