Hi. I have my rope 10mm static(non flexible) and slip knot.
Here's the thing..many people say partial suspension is relatively painless. I think this is because they are talking about the kneeling position with just enough pressure on the neck to pass out. But I've seen the experienced people say that kneeling is more prone to failure due to when the body convulses.
Most people say that the positions 2 and 3(in the photo I provided) are the best. I've heard 3 is THE best reliability wise.
Here's the thing,I tried this without even putting all my weight down. The knot is on the back of my head and the noose is above my Adam's apple. Well,it hurt like hell. My muscles in my neck were being pinched which is why it's so bad. I know it's only for like 7 seconds of being conscious if I pass out successfully, but I fear my pain prevention instinct will kick in.
I ask the people on here with experience(practicing or failing) if position number 2 is also just as effective,or if the risk of my legs stiffening during convulsions is a bit too high. Maybe they'd flop down when my body goes limp before convulsing?
I am thinking about doing this while my family is gone for an hour and a half tomorrow, which is why I'm in a hurry for answers.
Thank you for any help!
