the day we broke up she slapped me in the face it made me so upset i kinda just stared off into space for a while it was so shocking and weird
she had feelings for someone else apparently
she had made me so many promises and now it all means nothing
she never cared about what i wanted it was always about her
i put myself through hell for her
all the rumors of her being a shitty abusive partner were true and i defended her name
she once told me i never once made her feel loved
she knows im easily manipulated and takes advantage of me
i was nothing more than someone for her to use for emotional support and sex

I remember seeing a comedian on Netflix say "when you love yourself 25% and meet someone who loves you 50% you feel as though that's alot but they don't love you" always stuck with me when looking at mine and other relationships. If you have self-esteem troubles it's easy to get into bad relationships.

Everyone deserves better, but most of us are just a little bit to selfish and cowardly on the whole, we can only try our best for the next partner.

Believe me I know it hurts and sucks, people come and go from our lives we can't keep them if they choose to go, just try to be thankful for whatever good moments you had, learn from the bad and move on, that's all we can do.

I'm so so sorry to hear about your experience, you are 10000000% worthy of love. Give yourself some time, a little bit of breathing room and work on YOU first. Because at the end of the day, you're the only one that can truly love you the most. It's going to hurt for awhile, like- potentially a long while. But scars do fade, and I know that you have it in you to find proper love one day.
Condolences about your abuse, I wish you could've been spared it.
