Perfect!

I'm 39 and always thought I would have made the perfect cavewoman.

So I guess I have lived a long life.

if you think about it 40 years is a long time to experience everything that matters

unfortunately we waste a lot of time we got given for nothing

another thing is that a few decades ago people used to start a family with 20..nowadays people dont even have a job until 27/28

I believe that's our normal life range. We just interfere with medication and other prolonging methods.

For most of human history, people didn't live past 40. Sometimes I think, humans weren't designed to live past 40 because if we were designed to live past 40, our bodies wouldn't just deteriorate so rapidly.

This really puts things into perspective, how we prolong life unnaturally.

We prolong life unnaturally so people can be around to see themselves turn into a wrinkly old ugly bitter disabled miserable person. Not worth it. I used to be very good looking until I started losing hair around the age of 30. It's horrible to see something so important to you, taken away from you like that. What is next? Time just takes and takes and takes.... Oh but I also have more time to make money and buy stuff. Yeah, who cares. My eye sight is no longer 20/20 too...

Agreed. And don't forget the loneliness that often comes with old age. Overall, society expects people to live in old, deteriorating bodies because of the ridiculous "life trumps all" mindset. Modern medicine has created a lot of misery by keeping people alive when they would have croaked naturally in the old days.

I was in a hospital once and I heard nurses and doctors talking about this old patient who keeps shitting the bed and they were like "Ewwww. I don't want to deal with that." which is understandable. And after hearing that, I was like, better to be dead than be that guy.

I agree. Once we pass the age of reproduction we are just prolonging life.

Needing someone to wipe your arse shows that after a certain point you become a burden. Better to die reasonably early before the body starts deteriorating. I don't think we were meant to live as long as 80 years old.

Same here. Just some 100s of years ago. I would be considered an old man... A senior citizen... I should actually be dead. The only reason, I'm alive is because of the unnatural process that is a blood transfusion after I lost a lot of blood. I cheated death.

Same here on the blood transfusion thing. I've been regretting surviving that emergency op ever since. I realise now that it was my time to go 7 years ago and I shouldn't have allowed the medics to meddle with nature.

Same. Before I almost died in 2012, my health was good. I didn't need any meds, nothing. Maybe the grim reaper is destroying my health with his powers because I cheated him. :P

Yep, year after year, more and more problems. And then whenever I try to fix my life and succeed, U turn. Something bad happens again.

Nah, it just gets worse. Well at least for me. It's like I'm being driven to suicide by some unknown force or cursed. Perhaps there is an entity, I must appease. But it will only do so much. I believe this planet will become inhospitable for humanity later this century.

yes think of cancer..risk skyrocket with every year after 50...

...you start looking like shit earlier but at least you can be fit and mobil until your 50...after this your personal health goes really downhill too

its really crazy how everything has postponed in modern society...people used to be grandparents with 40/50 ... nowadays people in that age just are about to start a family..

Well, based on stoneage standards, then I would be almost 75% through my lifespan. I don't have a set date or age on when I ctb, as mine heavily depends on my circumstances, timing, and other factors before I go through with it. However, there are times that if I have a major enough catalyst that pushes me over the edge, then I'd actually ctb instead of holding on or standing by.
