Does America have more workaholics than any other nation? The data might surprise you
Has someone ever come up to you and said that you work too much?

Here is an article which is ambivalent on it. The US is number 12 in terms of yearly hours worked by the average worker. Germany is the last one with the fewest hours. Lol. There is this cliche Germans were very eager and conscientious. Maybe this is even true compared to the work ethics in other countries. But seemingly we don't work that much. But working more does not necessarily lead to more productivity.
I am always stunned when I hear who few vacation one has in other countries. Don't get me wrong I am a mental wreck I could never work an average job even in Germany. I probably cannot even work part-time. Probably will lead to my suicide. My lefty friends always complain how exhaustive the lives of adults are. Way less free-time and way more responsibilities. I wish I could become a responsible citizen but I am too fragile.
I find it weird why many Americans accept such hard working conditions. Bad health care, not much vacation, companies try to stop unions, no good welfare system in case you get ill. Sounds like a pretty bad deal for me. I know other countries have it worse. But the US is so rich. Why do the average workers have to suffer this much?
