I hate overtime

Here in India people who fuss over overtime are often called lazy, crybaby. Etc.
I am one such person who feel that working beyond the official times, unless paid extra is an exploitation. Unfortunately since last three months I am working overtime everyday. And I hate it. Work is not life. Just a part of life. Unfortunately the capitalist, corporate propaganda continuously sets the narrative that you have to work 12 hours day and other such bullshit. I hate this

I'm sorry, friend. I also hate the narrative that not devoting one's life to employment is a moral failing. Honestly I think arguments against suicide are mostly about economic productivity, whether or not the people making them realize it consciously.

This made me think of the song No Surprises ("a job that slowly kills you"). I find it unsettling that in the modern day people are basically told to sacrifice their hobbies and family time for their occupation.

I was training as a teacher in my country, but I'm about to be kicked off the course due to issues with my health (both physical and psychological). I worry about lifelong unemployment, especially as an autistic person, but I also know I was burning myself out, and even now I'm currently suspended by the university, I still haven't returned to any of my old hobbies and struggle to find anything that makes me happy now.

i get ya. some will get over it and some won't. basicly my conclussion is keep burning if you still need money to survive. everybody can work at macdonalds but we all got bills to pay and maintence. sometimes it not realistic
