I had some many chances to turn my life around

i envy the people who have nothing to regret when they die and leave this world with a smile on their face

We're all at the mercy of what life throws our way. I suppose I could have turned things around several times myself but if I think back further in the past I see all of the things that made me desperate for change. Depression is the cause of and response to many negative situations. I was given many chances in life but I just couldn't manage the circumstances & mental illness. Life just doesn't work out for some people.
