I got an internship interview today

I've had a few before, they typically never go well, and they usually never end with anything beyond the interview. I tend to get the email of "We're sorry, but we have moved on with another candidate" spiel.

I don't think this will be any different but this was the only interview I felt comfortable during. They were super casual and engaged with what I said. The interview I had before this was almost robotic and like they were reading from a script, very little engagement. Either way it gave me some hope in a time where I have very little. I'm in a capstone class and it makes me want to bash my brains into a wall, I hate my team.

I haven't posted in a bit but I have returned because things aren't going so great and this community brings me comfort. I still am not actively suicidal (maybe passively? Either way that's me all the time tbh), so this is going to go in Recovery because its good news, and maybe something good comes of it. I'll probably update this thread when I hear back in a week or so.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. I'm trying to take things one small step at a time and just let myself feel a little hopeful without getting ahead of myself. The interview experience itself meant a lot to me, especially after how rough things have been lately, so your encouragement genuinely helps more than you know. Thank you

Well, your can-do attitude is commendable. You kept on trying and at the end of the day that what matters. I am sure you will do great. Just one request, please keep on doing one act of kindness whenever you can, cause it does add up and create something beautiful for the entire world. God bless

Glad you had a nice interview, and for the capstone team, consider raising the concerns with either the team members or the lecturer, depending on the severity.

I'm yet to do my ICT Capstone project, hoping I do it well vs mis-do it.

Hey, I wanted to update, good news and bad news. Good news, I got the internship. Bad news, I think I just got broken up with again…

I don't know how I'm gonna make rent in this apartment on my own, but it's the cheapest thing in town. I really have no other alternatives. I could try to find a roommate, but it's mid semester, I doubt many are still looking.

I don't know if it's a break up yet. We argued and she left and said she needs time to think. Last time that happened, it was a breakup.

Unlike last time I went through a breakup, I actually kind of want to live this time though. I have something to look forward to. I don't know how I'll make ends meet with this apartment but where there's a will, there's a way. Maybe it hasn't fully hit me yet, she just left 16 minutes ago, so it's still fresh.

I think I'm going to go drink a lot now, I might come back to this post or maybe not, at least not tonight. I hope this hopeful feeling persists into tomorrow and beyond, regardless of what happens.

Sorry to hear that happened with your gf, it's a bummer it had to happen at such a hopeful time. But, still congratulations on the internship! those aren't easy to get as I'm still looking for some myself. Keep that hopeful energy and your head up.

Cmon, no drinking. It's what life is you win some you lose some. Give yourself a breather, it will clear your thinking. And yes, when one door closes, another one....you know the rest. Take care and rise up.
